Let's Go!
I'm no stranger to hard work in public service. As a staff attorney for the Louisiana Senate during the 2010 legislative session, I learned a lot about creating solid working relationships; how to draft a bill - a good one - to help the hard-working folks of District #58 and how to get that good bill passed. Five years of my life were dedicated to serving as an Assistant Attorney General, working hard to defend our state prison system by saving taxpayer dollars from frivolous prisoner lawsuits. My real-world experience taught me the ins-and-outs of how regulatory boards and state and federal agencies work hard to cooperate, hammer out agreements, and serve Louisiana citizens. It also taught me that we can do better!
As a prosecutor for the 23rd Judicial District, I made certain that people who did not follow society's rules were held accountable and that their punishment fit the crime. Running my own law firm taught me first hand just how challenging it is to manage a business, satisfy clients, and comply with so many local, state, and even federal guidelines and rules. Fresh out of law school, it was my privilege to work with indigent and elderly citizens to ensure that their legal needs were met.
And...
On a more personal note, life has taught me that some things are truly priceless: Honoring God and family, keeping promises, and always fighting to do the right thing. If these things matter to you -- and I know that they do -- I sincerely ask for your vote and support as District #58 representative.
